Numerous projects to choose from, including the following:

Nuno Felt Collage Scarf:
1 Day Retreat
Create stunning wearable art in a single day by collaging bits of silk and wool into a new piece of fabric. This Nuno Felted project is accomplished with no sewing, knitting or stitching of any kind.

Nuno Felt Decorative Elements Piece:
2 Day Retreat

Day 1: Color Play

On day one we will play with color and learn the basics of wet nuno felting. In the morning, we will begin with a hands-on approach to basic color theory by pulling together yummy color palettes with wool roving, silk and decorative threads. We will enhance our color palettes and explore exciting new combinations by using the color wheels and templates in EYE FOR COLOR.

After lunch we will explore various Decorative Elements and choose a few of our favorite color combinations from the earlier exercise and employ the basics of wet nuno felting to create a number of colorful 'Eyes' that can be used for coasters.

These exercises will become the foundation for the Nuno Felt Decorative Elements Shawl that will be created on day 2.

Day 2: Decorative Elements Piece

Create a Nuno Felt piece bursting with color and textural interest that can be used as a shawl, a wall hanging or a table runner.
Nuno Felt Garden Jacket:

3 Day Retreat

Day 1: Color Play

On day one we will play with color and learn the basics of wet nuno felting. In the morning, we will begin with a hands-on approach to basic color theory by pulling together yummy color palettes with wool roving, silk and decorative threads. We will enhance our color palettes and explore exciting new combinations by using the color wheels and templates in EYE FOR COLOR.

After lunch we will choose a few of our favorite color combinations from the earlier exercise and employ the basics of wet nuno felting to create a number of color swatches of a size and shape that can be later transformed into coasters or arm warmers.

These exercises will become the foundation for the Nuno Felt Garden Jacket that will be created in days 2 and 3.

Days 2 - 3: Nuno Felt Garden Jacket

Throw on a splash of color with this reversible, short Nuno Felt jacket. Explore design elements using silk collage, holes and colorful wool accents to create a piece of wearable art light enough to enhance any outfit.

Once the basic pattern is created there are lots of possible variations: the front can have a straight box cut or a curved more whimsical look, love asymmetry? No problem! Arms can be long, short, straight or flared. Adjust the weight – use more wool for more warmth, less wool and more silk for a light weight summer evening shrug.

Discussions of color will be woven in throughout the 2 day workshop.

Bonus! This jacket is made on a single table for those with limited working space in their home studio – and of course it is all made in a single piece with no stitching.

Each day includes Coffee Bar, Lunch, Wine and Hors d'oeuvres.
Saturday also includes Dinner
