Developing the system:
Working with color is an integral part of my workshops and I bring tools and references to assist students in creating their own beautiful combinations. However, I find the color wheels on the market to be either cumbersome to use or limiting in their ability to illustrate color relationships. I felt compelled to design a better system.
It was important that
the templates and wheels were interchangeable in order to show the full
range of possible color combinations and that the wheels were not
limited to the 12 families depicted on most color wheels. There are 2 palettes (saturated and pastel) of 24 color families each with a full range of values and each color is handpicked. Interchangeable templates snap into place and spin to reveal a wide range of color combinations that work well together.
Color ispiration comes from all around me! I have surrounded myself with very creative and colorful friends who have made this project come to life.
